Apr
29

Interested in leading reTURN the Favor walks in New Jersey this spring? Join us for a reTURN the Favor training workshop.

The workshop will provide information on how to rescue stranded crabs by leading sanctioned reTURN the Favor walks on New Jersey’s beaches, abiding by closed beach and moratorium regulations during rescue walks. Participants will be provided with the materials they need to participate and learn how they can collect and submit data, contributing to management efforts. The workshop will also include a primer on horseshoe crab and shorebird biology and conservation concerns.

This training will be held at The Bayshore Center at Bivalve on Saturday, April 29th, from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM.

This event is intended for all new volunteers interested in joining New Jersey’s reTURN the Favor horseshoe crab rescue program in 2017. Returning volunteers should contact their partner organizations for 2017 updates and materials.
